Flowmaster Exhaust
Ahh...ya have to have an exhaust. The stocker just isn't loud enough. So what to get. There are lots of choices, some good, some....well.....not so good. Everyone says "get the Borla." At $600, with the fit problems and ugly exhaust tips, screw that. There is no need to spend that much on an exhaust. The Hookers don't sound that great (IMO), and I had never heard an LT1 w/ a Dynomax, so that was a no go. Most of the other systems cost too much. So, I got the dual outlet Flowmaster Cat-Back. I have now heard of Mufflex, and they are supposed to make a really great exhaust, one to also consider when buying an exhaust.
The Flowmaster sounds great. Deep, throaty sound; just what I wanted. Cost me $280. But the damn things come with downturned tips. No problem; I just had those cut off and a set of Hooker tips welded in place.
