Free and Cheap Mods
Always the Free mods.....and some not being so free!

- Airfoil.  I had the car over a year before I found out I had one.  Guess the previous owner added it.  No, I DID NOT waste my $50 on a damn airfoil.  It looks like a TPIS Airfoil.  Maybe a whole .5 HP gain from it.

-TB Coolant Bypass.  For some reason, GM thought it would be wise to "cool down" the TB by running coolant through it.  Ends up heating it up for the most part.  Most aftermarket TB's don't even have a place for the coolant to flow through them.  Take the in / out hoses from it, and tie them together.  No, I noticed no power gains from it.

- MAF Screen Removal.  The MAF sensor has a screen that is supposed to catch debris and "straighten" out the air.  Well, a good air filter should catch all of the debris, and all that screen really does is limit airflow.  Pop it out and you are good to go.  Gains...nothing I could tell, but it was free.  All the aftermarket MAF's and ported housings don't have a screen, so why should mine?
